Today's video lecture covers the strategies use in Vietnam and the conditions faced by American soldiers. This will be important context for the rest of the unit as well as The Things they Carried which you will begin tomorrow.
Vietnam Strategies and Conditions video lecture (Based on survey responses, only about 2/3 of the class responded and of those about 1/3 said they would not like a live lecture. This equated to less than half the class saying yes. So for this week I stayed with a recorded lecture since we also have an optional Zoom discussion on Thursday. However, next week we have a topic that works particularly well for a live discussion so we will try for next week).
